LC Lab Bandol is a small convention centre built around a lab equipped for basic liquid crystal research. In 2004 it hosted its first international scientific workshop and since 2006 it hosts a yearly summer school on liquid crystals, both with an exceptionally appreciative audience. The location in the centre of the town, yet very close to the sea with beautiful views of the Mediterranean, gives each event organised at the LC Lab Bandol a very inspiring and creative atmosphere. As no other guests are present on the site, the meeting will be totally undisturbed from other activities. The small scale and generous discussion sessions will enhance close contacts between participants.

The experimental, demonstration and model-building facilities available in the lab allows unique experimental components of the lectures, and ideas generated during discussions can in some cases immediately be put to simple tests under the microscope.
