Bandol
Bandol is known for its good wines, which are grown in the hinterlands. The small city has a genuine French life style, in summer as well as during winter. In the summer many visitors come to the beautiful beaches. There are several beaches, so they are never too crowded.
Bandol is situated in the department Var, in which many cultural events and festivals are organized in particular during the summer. Toulon is the next big city (15 km away). In Toulon and in the many small cities along the coast in the vicinity of Bandol (Sanary, Six-Fours - La Seyne, Hyères) you will find events such as jazz festivals and classic concerts taking place regularly.
The railway station of Bandol is situated in walking distance from the house. There are frequent connections to Marseille, Toulon, Nice and all the small cities in between. Also the bus connections are good.
